5 Easy Ways To Decorate For Fall in Under 30 Minutes
Fall is here! I have to remind myself of that because on most days where I live it is still hot and sunny. Because of that, Fall can sneak up on me causing a flurry of last-minute decorating. Over the years I’ve come up with 5 easy ways to decorate for Fall in under 30 minutes.
When I have time, I do enjoy decorating for Fall with plump pumpkins from the fields, big hay bales and corn husks tied around every vertical object in the yard. I also love to create amazing things like my Halloween Gravestone Project. However, when I need to get things done quickly I go to my storage room and pull out my trusty faux pumpkins, gourds, and colorful leaves. There are endless ways to use them, but these are my favorite:
1. Beautiful Fall Decor For The Kitchen Island
This arrangement on my kitchen island is so vibrant and beautiful, yet it literally took me 2 minutes to set it up. I took a pre-made floral spray and strategically placed a few faux gourds along the back of it. That was it. Done. I have used this combination on my foyer table, as well. It works well on any flat surface in a room where you would like to introduce some lovely Fall color.
2. Easy Ways To Create Fabulous Fall Foliage In Your Flower Pots
I love this particular hack! We all have flower pots from Summer that have lost their blooms, but the greenery keeps on keepin’ on! Just take some faux pumpkins, gourds and colorful faux leaf sprigs and arrange them in your pots along with the old greenery. So Easy, so effective. If your greens are beginning to brown a little bit, even better! It will all blend in and add to the overall festive look! Another two-minute job!
3. Decorate For Fall With This Show-Stopping Display For Your Front Door
Use any large receptacle around the house as a base, then layer greenery and Fall leaves garland inside of it. Place an array of pumpkins and gourds on top. As Halloween draws nearer I also like to add some spiderwebs and other spooky decorations around the display.
You can use anything you have around the house to hold the display…an old chair, a wagon, a basket or even a big box. If the item you use is not attractive try draping an old blanket or tablecloth over it to hide the sides. Be creative! Since you may have to spend some time finding an object to put the display in, I will say it’s a 15 minute job the first year you do it. Five minutes every year after.
4. Decorate For Fall With This Outrageously Easy Fall Table Decoration
I love this particular table display! What I love the most is the use of one single orange pumpkin among the white. Maybe it’s because being a Mom has given me an appreciation for unique qualities in everyone and everything, but that orange pumpkin makes me smile every time I see it. Of course you can do yours any way you want to…All white, all orange, or a mix of both. Just line them up down a long dining table and that’s it! A one minute job.
5. Decorate From Early Fall To Halloween And Beyond
These bright sunflowers, gourds, and Fall leaves arranged on a table runner bring joy and happiness into any room! A quick and easy way to transition your early Fall decorating is to add a Halloween specific item to your arrangement. This simple table decor will take you from early September to Halloween night with the addition of a Jack-o-lantern. After Halloween, remove the Jack-o-lantern and the arrangement will take you through Thanksgiving! So versatile! This arrangement has a few more components, so let’s say 10 minutes for this job. Not bad!
Wow, That Was Easy!
There it is! 5 easy ways to decorate for Fall in under 30 minutes is truly doable! In 30 minutes you will have either decorated for Fall completely, or given yourself an amazing starting point to build on for Halloween! Also, there is nothing wrong with using the real thing, but I find the faux pumpkins, gourds and leaves are amazing for 2 reasons:
- They are always there right when I need them. I don’t have to leave the house to shop, so when the mood strikes I can immediately act.
- They last for years! I probably paid a little more on the initial purchase, but over the years I have saved tons of money.
So if you are like me and you find yourself strapped for time this year, try some of these easy Fall decorating ideas! You will be happy you did!
